THE DREAM TEAM ~ VIDEOS Part 1

Truly a dream come true, Puerto Rico Rock and Rollers and Friends from the 1960's
together again, May 31-June 3, 2012, some after not seeing one another for up to 45
years, some becoming great new friends, to make music and dance with joy, and
share the love and friendship. How spectacular and what an unforgettable weekend!

Something to consider...the song list was discussed and the music coordinated over
telephone conversations (several were long distance) by most of our boys. They
practiced the vocals and instruments for all these songs individually, but never
together as a group until the day of the event, yet it all came together at La Nueva
Ola...jammin'! That's true spirit and harmony for a group of musicians that hasn't
played together in a very long time.
ROCK ON!

Some funny moments and a few hitches here and there, but nothing that this bunch couldn't
tackle,  like when the power circuits got overloaded and blew the power while the band was
playing 'I Saw  Her Standing There'! The guys didn't even flinch, they just kept right on
grooving and playing and the  rest of us followed along singing and dancing. NO worries,
we were having a blast!!

The police strolled in later saying that the bass is too loud!! HaHa I don't think they know the
difference between a bass and a guitar! Bobby Puras hollering "la jara!! la jara!!" and almost
getting  into a fight with the cops, Marilina had to drag him away and shut him up before he got
cuffed! ♪ We  love you Bobby, oh yes we do... ♪

I suppose us ole rockers still have a 'slight' rebel streak because we kept right on partying. The
neighbors must have not liked that because they called the cops again! Yikes!! They drank a couple
of beers and left (just kidding)! All was good, we quieted down...a little.

Erika freaking, not being able to connect to the Internet to set up the live feed she had promised all
the rockers and friends who couldn't attend the event! At the last minute she got the correct server
logon password! A typical Florida flash storm drenched the computer and cables...it got set up
anyway all wet, and worked just great! t

Taking a break from organizing pictures and videos into the wee hours and finding Adrian stroll out
of his studio at 4 or 5am practicing his guitar yet putting on an awesome show!

Our departed friends who we all knew were right there with us...would have loved to see them
doubled over laughing at us kicking their candles around the floor! It was all fun, great comeradeship
and a great adventure, and San Miguel was right there with us making sure that  nobody or nothing
puts a damper on this special event! Everything was perfect! Rockers Do It Best!!
